Product overview: Fluke TL175 TwistGuard™ Test Leads

Twist. Test. Stay Safe.

The Fluke TL175 TwistGuard™ Test Leads offer adjustable length test tips for use in different measurement environments. By simply twisting the test lead the user can change the exposed probe tip length from 19 mm to 4 mm (0.75 in to 0.16 in).

They work well, are very durable, and add a whole new level to safety…along with the ability to twist them to expose the entire probe for more traditional feel while testing”- S.C., verified customer

Patented TwistGuard™ extendable tip

The adjustable tip shroud meets new electrical safety requirements to reduce tip exposure while providing the versatility needed for most measurements. The correct category rating for the tip exposure being used is always visible on the test leads. This makes the TL175 test leads suitable for use in many environments:

  • CAT II 1000 V
  • CAT III 1000 V
  • CAT IV 600 V

Safety inside and out

WearGuard™ lead wire wear indicator makes it easier to see insulation wear and tear. If the inner, white insulation layer shows through the outer, black layer, damage is indicated, and the leads must be replaced. The silicone insulation withstands high temperatures and remains flexible in cold temperatures. While the universal input plugs are compatible with all instruments that accept standard 4 mm shrouded banana plugs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Short life Three techs and myself got these leads new. They all lasted less than a year and started to show high resistance and can't trust your readings. The leads before lasted 10+ years. Seems that quality has decreased considerably. And now I don't want to even replace these from fluke. Going to try Pomona leads this time.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad leads I have 3 pairs of these leads. Two sets came with the meters I purchased new. Fluke replaced a set of leads when I contacted service department with issues of intermittent high resistance at the lead strain relief at lead. The leads are brand new but not usable have unstable readings. Don’t buy TL175 leads

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Flawed, like all recent fluke probes I've had multiple fluke probes fail at the crimp joint where the cable joins the probe with mild, careful use of the probes. This is not fit for purpose, Fluke really needs to sort out the design of their probes across the board. I would use probe master probes with my fluke meters instead, but they don't fit the clips on the back of my meters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice leads Quality leads. I appreciate the twist functionality and the more supple insulation material that makes working with the leads easier/less prone to rats nesting

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Can't be repaired? I struggle to open these. Possibly they are molded? Have anyone succeeded in repairing a set? I have one that is highly unstable - most probably a bad solder or broken cable inside the "exit"...
