Rated 2 out of 5 by CANUSER from Fluke 28II has LCD Issues The LCD screen on my 28II meter has never been great.
All of the photos on the website show the meter's numerical displays to be dark and crisp. However, in reality (at least with my meter), in DC Voltmeter mode, the V and DC in the upper right of the screen are barely visible. In AC Voltmeter mode, the V is barely visible, but the AC is dark and crisp. In Ohmmeter mode, the Ohm Symbol and the k for kiloohm are barely visible. The M for megaohm, however, is dark and crisp. The bar graph is dark and crisp, Manual is dark and crisp, but Auto is barely visible. In temperature mode, the degrees C is dark and crisp, but the degrees F is barely visible. The middle segments of the 7-segment numerical displays are often barely visible as well, and the other segments are variable in their display.

Rated 2 out of 5 by mule1812 from Great meter, useless battery design I purchased this unit approximately one year ago it has performed flawlessly and reliably.
Working in remote areas I thought it prudent to read the manual for battery replacement. Manual states that you require AA batteries and Phillips head screwdriver, imagine my surprise when the batteries fail and I go to replace them and find that the screws in the manual referred to as Phillips head are a specialised type screw which no sane person would carry in their toolbox. Being 150km from the nearest town with a hardware store that was the end off the days work being unable to test the solar setup.
Getting home I find in my toolkit a torque head that fits this unusual screw, opening the compartment I find a battery holder that Quasimodo on a sad day would have designed. Seriously if that’s the best you could come up with you need to fire the person responsible and hire someone from kindergarten.

Rated 5 out of 5 by joe2 from Safe Meter I bought this meter about a year ago and liked its safety features Readings were quick and stable. A big plus is It uses three AA alkaline batteries that can last up to 600 hours.
The unit is packed with a pair of PVC test leads that does not plug into the meter easily, it requires a lot of force to get them seated properly. This premium Fluke multi meter should have been packaged with a set of premium Fluke silicone test leads.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Leo18 from Rugged Meter I bought this meter a few months ago the primary reason why I purchased this model is because of its rugged skin its able to survive use in high humid/hot/rain and constant temperature differences in the Gulf Coast. Very dependable high resolution helps the instrument be more accurate. Also the capability to be used as a bench meter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by dveazie from My new favorite I've used the 80 series for decades but when looking for a new meter for work I came across this one. Just about all of the same functions and features as the 80's but in a rugged case. Brilliant.
