Product overview: Fluke 373 True-RMS AC Clamp Meter

Fluke 373 True RMS AC Clamp Meter does the job for any AC-only current measurement application

Fluke 373 True-RMS AC Clamp Meter is a great choice for AC-only current measurement situations. Featuring True RMS AC voltage and current measurements you can measure AC current to 600 A and AC voltage to 600V. The 373 also measures DC voltage to 600 V and resistance to 6000 Ω.

To make it even easier to use, the large, easy-to-read backlit display provides better visibility in dimly lit conditions. And the 373 automatically sets the correct measurement range based on the voltage present when you power up, so you do not need to move the switch while taking a measurement. When you put it all together, you’ll find the Fluke 373 offers everything you need, plus a little more.

Other useful capabilities:

  • Provides True-RMS voltage and current measurements to accurately measure non-linear signals
  • Automatically selects a measurement range based on voltage present so you don’t need to change the switch positions while taking a measurement
  • Presents readings on a large, easy-to-read backlit display
  • Features CAT IV 300 V, CAT III 600 V safety ratings
  • Comes with a soft carrying case and three-year warranty
  • Runs on two AA alkaline batteries

What's in the box:

  • 373 True-RMS AC Clamp Meter

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cap check function does not work. I work in the HVAC industry and my company bought this meter for me due to the Fluke name and reliability??? That stated, this one is new out of the box and the CAP check function does not work. 2. Exchanged it for another new 373 and again, the "CAP" check function does not work. I told them to buy me a Field Piece at half the cost, and it works great. Shame on you Fluke.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good meter, dumb limit on capacitance Fluke has always made top notch products. Up until this point Fluke has been a blanket recommend to anyone. This is a great meter but has a weird limit on capacitance. It won't test anything BELOW 10uf. Which is common in small motors and HVAC equipment. To be fair it does state this in the specs but how many people would look into the specs for capacitor settings. My guess is most would see it does capacitors and call it a day. I found all of this out the hard way when I went to test a condenser unit thinking there was a bad capacitor. There wasn't. Cost me time, effort and money. Fluke has great stuff but I can no longer do the "Just by a Fluke you'll be fine" line to people.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worked well for my application - battery leakage The 373 was working well for my application. I brought it to my lab for a demonstration and when I turned it on and nothing. I went to change the batteries and the Energizer Industrials leaked. Damaged the battery terminals but did not reach the main board. Fluke service provided part #s, but you cannot purchase the parts. I even offered to buy the entire back, again not offered. Disappointed they are not offered as a replacement part.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don’t waste your money Bought one a little over a year ago and the other day it wouldn’t turn it on replaced batteries still wouldn’t come on took it to the place I bought it from and they said that fluke wouldn’t do anything to try to fix it or replace it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rock solid Fluke quality I've been through a number of multimeters in my lifetime and I've owned my Fluke 373 for four years now and it's still going strong despite regular use and, I have to admit, a fair amount of abuse. Well worth the money, especially considering it includes capacitance testing and the clamp meter function and, of course, the Fluke quality and durabilty. I'd gladly buy another one but I doubt I'll ever have to.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Could be better Why is it $100 more dollars just to get capacitance down below 10 and no min/max? Once again you have to over pay for the simplest of features. I have you buy a 374 just to be able to do that!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Reliable I bought a 374 meter just to be able to read DC amps. It was the only reason, how ever now I use it all the time. The only down side is that is one of the older models and is still priced High for an "old model meter". Also battery does not last as long as on other fluke meters I have own. Overall it's a meter I will use in a daily basis.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wastewater Tech I have the 373 model and LOVE IT! I use it while cycling the pumps on during my weekly rounds. Just this little step has helped me save clients money and work for myself. I can now see when the pump is running harder and can fix the issue prior to burning the pump up. Thank you Fluke for your outstanding products and service.
