Portable multi-function calibrator simplifies calibration work

Whether you're calibrating instruments, troubleshooting a problem, or running routine maintenance, the Fluke 754 with HART® communication can help you get the job done faster. It does many different tasks quickly and it's the only process calibrator you need to carry. This rugged, reliable, integrated communicating calibrator is ideal for calibrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting HART smart transmitters and other instrumentation.

Measurement and source capabilities:

  • AC/DC voltage
  • mA loop w/ 24V loop power
  • Pressure
  • Thermocouples & RTDs
  • Frequency
  • Resistance

Enhanced process calibrator operation

With the bright white dual display, you’ll be able to read both sourced and measured parameters simultaneously. The rechargeable Li-Ion battery offers up to 10 hours uninterrupted usage allowing you to complete one task after another without needing to stop, and also includes direct AC power capabilities if needed. Finally, communicate with HART smart digital transmitters directly through the mA measurement jacks for seamless calibration with fewer connections.

Do more, with less

The 754 does the work of several tools. It sources, simulates and measures pressure, temperature, and electrical signals with one rugged, hand-held device. The powerful built-in HART interface can perform nearly all day-to-day tasks you now perform with a separate digital communicator. It can handle fast-pulsed RTD transmitters and PLCs, with pulses as short as 1 ms. The 754 also measures/sources pressure using any of the Fluke 750P Series Pressure Modules as a reference and boasts many additional features like:

  • Custom auto-step and ramping
  • Custom units
  • User-entered values during test
  • One-point and two-point switch testing
  • Square root DP flow testing
  • Programmable measurement delay

Download procedures, lists, and instructions

The 754 is a power multifunction documenting calibrator that you can use to download procedures, lists, and instructions created with software, or upload data for printing, archiving, and analysis. The tool can hold up to a full week of downloaded procedures and calibration results and offers compatibility with many asset management software. Users can also create and run automated as-found or as-left procedures to satisfy quality programs or regulations, and records and documents results.

For documentation, the 754 automates calibration procedures and captures your data. And, of course, it helps you meet rigorous standards like ISO 9000, FDA, EPA, and OSHA regulations. Plus, the graphical screen, Li-Ion battery for longer life, USB port, and accessories help you work smarter and faster.

To create a seamless/paperless calibration management system consider adding Fluke DPCTrack2 Calibration Management software.

Is it possible to use this communicator to setup up a HART device? We tried to use this for a device setup but were not able. All that could really be done is read the device outputs which is almost useless.

Asked by: Very Dissapointed
The Fluke 754 Documenting Process Calibrator-HART is a calibrator and only supports calibration related HART functions. The Fluke 154 HART Communicator is a HART communicator and can be used to fully commission a HART capable instrument.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Limited HART Capability The Fluke 754 does not have full handshake HART communication abilities. Not only is the device list short with regard to what instruments it can communicate with, the 754 cannot access all menus or parameters made available by the given device. If you must stay within the Fluke product line and require a documenting unit for basic data generation, purchase the 753, and utilize your pc, tablet or handheld for communications.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile I bought the Fluke 754 to perform calibrations on furnace thermocouples. Since the meter can do so many other measurements, I am investigating performing additional calibrations including pressure meters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tool! I purchased this tool a little over two years ago now and still going strong getting beat around out in the oil fields. It's an indispensable part of my artillery for maintaining and repairing gas compressor automation systems and pretty much anything else I've run across

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fluke 754 Today I experienced a little issue that made me had to go back to the shop and get a 475. While doing a functional check/calibration of a Rosemount 3051 at 25 inH2O and using an ADT761 to run the the control the 754 would not let me adjust the transmitter without a Fluke pressure module. So I went back the the shop and got the 475 and left the Fluke.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Definitely an upgrade but still bulky Much better than my 744. easier to see and battery life is much longer. was hoping they would make these smaller. the hart cable is much better. not a fan of the connection they use for presure transmitters but glad they kept it the same so i dont have to get new modules!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for educators!!! We bought four Fluke 754 process calibrators this year. The versatility of this meter has proven to be the best feature for educating future instrumentation technicians. From pressure and temperature switches to all types of transmitters in our measurements classes and labs, the Fluke 754 is an all around centerpiece of the lab. In our process instrumentation class and labs, we introduce the HART capability of our instruments and the Fluke 754 is again the most versatile calibrator. In our calibration class is where the Fluke 754 has its best performance as the double screen lets the students have total control of the calibration process.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Do It All Meter! I have been using this meter for over a year. I am able to do anything that I need to do to troubleshoot and calibrate industrial instrumentation. This meter eliminates the need to carry multiple calibration tools into the field. The HART function is also very handy! Best all around meter I own!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great unit!! Include a mA clamp option!! Excellent Meter, however fluke should provide a plug in mA current probe option so loop measurements can be done done without breaking the circuit!! Saves me carrying around the 773 as well.
