Product overview: Fluke 3562 Screening Vibration Sensor system
The Fluke 3562 Screening Vibration Sensor system is a complete solution empowering maintenance leaders and teams with reliable screening data at their fingertips.
A solution consisting of hardware, software and service — the Fluke 3562 system provides vibration monitoring for a vast array of machines and machine types, not just the most critical few.
This technologically advanced sensor, which features battery-free operation and long-range radio sensor-to-gateway connection, combines with cloud-based software and notifications, to make the system the ideal always-on vibration screening solution for semi-critical and important machines.
Features such as the ultra-penetrating sub-GHz radio communication protocol allow up to 1000 Fluke 3562 sensors to communicate with a single gateway up to 800 ft away, while the gateway's triple-network capability helps extend always-on monitoring broadly across your plant. The connected Thermoelectric (TEG) harvester and/or Photovoltaic (PV) harvester generates power for the sensor to deliver constant vibration tracking, eliminating the need for batteries throughout the sensors' life, so maintenance teams can “set it and forget it,” and focus on other tasks.
Using real-time knowledge of asset health from the LIVE-Asset™ Portal software application, the Fluke 3562 system provide early warning of incipient failures via alarms and alert notifications, ensuring that maintenance teams are informed when any given machine requires closer inspection.
The system also operates on the same software platform used by the Fluke 3563 Analysis Vibration Sensor, now enabling teams to monitor data from critical, semi-critical, and important machines via a single dashboard.
Combined with remote onboarding and vibration training services, the Fluke 3562 can be implemented seamlessly into existing plant operations while yielding the efficiency benefits promised by condition monitoring and practical leverage of the IIoT. The one-on-one setup process includes personalized assistance from Fluke Reliability experts, ensuring successful configuration, commissioning, and installation.
With easy implementation and minimal upkeep, the Fluke 3562 system can help you: discover potential machine failures early, maximize plant uptime with lower costs, improve equipment efficiency, and reduce your energy use.
Essential Hardware Features
- Measurements are taken at user-defined intervals across the following parameters:
- Overall vibration levels (velocity) for each axis (horizontal, vertical, axial)
- Fundamental operating frequencies for each axis, ranging from 6Hz – 1,000Hz
- Magnitudes of the nine highest FFT peaks
- Machine surface temperature
- Ambient temperature and humidity
- Sensor-stored power level
- Batteryless operation: The 3562 vibration sensors generate power from a machine and its environment through a Thermoelectric (TEG) harvester or Photovoltaic (PV) harvester rather than batteries, to deliver constant vibration monitoring.
- Triple network: With triple network connection capabilities — Wi-Fi, LTE and Ethernet — the Fluke 3562 is adaptable for any facility. No infrastructure changes are needed.
- Scalable: Long-range sensor-to-gateway communication allows this system to connect up to 1,000 sensors. As a result, the Fluke 3562 can be placed farther from the gateway, allowing more spread-out sensors in hard-to-reach areas.
- Intrinsically safe: The Fluke 3562 is a Class 1, Division 2 designated vibration sensor, making it applicable to a wide range of potentially hazardous environments.
Key LIVE-Asset™ Portal software features
- Dashboard: Displays the overall condition of assets from associated devices with summary-level data shown by location.
- Visualized measurements: Monitor assets at a glance by visualizing overall vibration and temperature.
- Vibration trending graphs: Graphing that supports user’s analysis, with access to measured parameters including trend charts and FFT charts showing the nine highest peak FFT results.
- Thresholds and event notifications: Users can set custom-threshold alarms on overall vibration levels. Warning notifications are received via email and/or through the Live-Asset™ Portal.
- Overview of asset event history and associated devices: Users can add and edit asset information and review the history of monitored changes and associate device information in the Live-Asset™ Portal.
