This video will demonstrate how the Fluke 729 Automatic Pressure Calibrator automatically regulates pressure, even during a slow pressure leak.

One of the main difficulties you're going to see out in the field as a technician is trying to adjust your pressure to an exact point and then capture that 4-20 mA reading. A slow leak is going to cause you to have to keep fine tuning to try and adjust. That's where the 729 comes in. The Fluke 729 will automatically regulate that pressure.
Let's take a look and see how it does it. I've got set up here, with a set point at 50 PSI and I'm going to just source pressure. The 729 is going to bring that pressure up to 50 PSI, and even though there's a small pressure leak in the system, it's going to hold it at 50 PSI, allowing you to take that 4-20 mA measurement. It will stabilize and keep it there for as long as you need to take that reading.
Just to compare, for this demonstration, we had actually put a small pressure leak in the system, and if I just set the calibrator to measure, the regulator turns off. You can see now that the pressure is dropping. The Fluke 729 built-in regulator compensates for any small pressure leaks.
